Misty and Spellbound comic. Spooky stories from yesteryear.

This is a well loved comic from my childhood but sadly didn't keep any of the comics or annuals from the 70's/80's. Fortunately I have been lucky enough to collect all the annuals, a couple of comics and a couple of specials in recent years. I found this website round about 2006 and contributed to the special which can be seen here: http://mistycomic.co.uk/Halloween_Special_2006.html Funnily enough I have never seen my story in print and have no idea how it turned out! There is a slight error in my first name. I wrote 'Halloween Hideaway'.
If I remember rightly the story I wrote was about a Halloween party and a girl who enters a friends house (where the party is) only to find the friends creepy murderous parents in an unusually gothic victorian setting! I can't remember if the girl escaped or not. lol!

The Misty website (link above) has a lot of information on the comic if you want ti find out more.

I have since found out about a publication called Spellbound which was the predecessor to Misty. It was around in the mid 70's so I was a bit young to have known about it at the time. I have managed to find quite a few issues since though and really like it! Not quite as scary as Misty but not bad!

t would be great to find some of the free gifts from these mags such as the blue fish bracelet from Misty or the mystic sun pendant from Spellbound. I wonder if they are hidden in mixed jewellery lots on EBay?

Some of my creations!
